Welcome to Stanton Vineyard

Owned and operated by Charlie Stanton and Julie Gemmell, the vineyard commands a spectacular view of the southernmost hills of the Willamette Valley. Their five acre vineyard above Territorial Hwy near Briggs Hill Road was planted in 2005 to pinot noir, pinot gris and pinot blanc on shallow marine soils. Originally raw forestland, from logging and clearing to planning and planting, they have overseen the development of Stanton Vineyard every step of the way. Much of the labor has been by their own hands as is the current day to day management of the vineyard.

Their first wines, small handcrafted quantities of vintage dated estate pinot noir and pinot gris, were released in 2010. They have emphasized clonal diversity and meticulous hands-on attention in the vineyard as what they believe will best express the uniqueness of their site.
