Robin and Danuta Pfeiffer, owners of Pfeiffer Winery in Junction City, have discovered a love for river cruising. This discovery was made during a recent cruise down the Danube with river cruising specialists AMAWaterways.Patchwork Cellars
What started in 2003 as a few friends and family pitching in their resources to produce wine for themselves, soon became a quest to produce and offer quality small-batch wines (under 250 cases) at approachable prices. We currently produce Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris from well-managed Willamette Valley vineyards such as: Buttonfield (formerly Jacob-Hart), Rainbow’s End and Mary’s Peak.
Our Winemaker, Christian Fox first traveled and explored the Oregon wine community and visited with pioneers of the trade in 1987. Soon after that first visit, he moved to Oregon and worked at Sundance Wine Cellars of Eugene, Oregon. His experience at Sundance provided him with numerous opportunities to build awareness of the quality of Oregon wines both locally and nationally. He also co-founded the first website dedicated to Oregon wines.
Patchwork Cellars was launched by Christian soon after the 2003 harvest. He did not have to look far to source fruit and juice, as his brother, Stirling Fox of Oregon Grape Management proved to be an invaluable partner.
